Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My sister just had surgery. She had several inches removed from her colon. She went in to the hospital last Thursday and came home on Sunday. She would like to go with me to Pittsburg over the weekend. It would be a 6 hour drive one way. She thinks she is fine to travel but I am concerned it is to soon for her to travel.
Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Ivo Ditah's Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am happy to hear she had her surgery successfully and recovery has see great. She says she is fine, she is for sure fine. There is nothing to be afraid about. Driving to Pittsburgh on good roads is just no risk factor for her to develop any complications. I think she need the trip to help her get over the surgery. Do non make her continue feeling she is sick!
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications should need be.
