Can I Use Lomela Cream In Place Of Melacare Cream For Pimples, Scars On Face?
hai doctor i m nishi 25 year ,for past 1 year i used melacare cream ,it worked really almost all my pimples were gone and my skin was fair, nowdays the cream make my skin into i have lots of acne spots and my skin into. redness, dullness, so i Suggested to stopped the cream, and now can i use lomela cream for my face (one of friend suggested) if you may suggested to use lomela cream means (how many days after i can use this cream ,bcoz past1year i used melacare) please tell me .
Both Lomela and Melacare cream contains Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Mometasone in it. The steroid in these creams can cause dependence and hence side effects such as skin thinning, hair growth and visible vessels on skin. All of these combinedly gives dark appearance on face. I suggest you to stop the cream immediately and meet a dermatologist to take off the side effects with Kojic acid or glycolic acid creams.
Both the creams are good but shouldn't be used without a dermatologist's prescription. On its prolonged use it can cause thinning skin with red irritated skin or even hair growth.
I suggest you to use proper sun protection. Use a good sunscreen daily for 2-3 times with best sun protection. You can use Azelaic acid or Kojic acid creams as these can be used for a long period without any side effects.
Take care
