Can I Use Hair Removal Cream While Suffering From Penicillin Allergy?
Hi,
Im a male, 25, 6'1" 190lbs and healthy with only a penicillin allergy. While doing some 'male grooming' today I used Veet on my genital region. I have used the product a couple of times before without a problem. This time however, just above my left testicle (the tube that attaches the testicle to the body?), feels enflamed, slightly enlarged and aches a moderate amount compared to the right which is smaller and does not ache. I washed thoroughly in the shower to remove the cream in the instructed time but I want to know if this enlargement may lead to permanent damage or if I must seek medical attention? Suffice to say I wont use hair removal cream again in the future, lesson learned.
Hi, Read your problem thoroughly. I think there is nothing to do with penicillin allergy with hair removing cream. Second thing..if you feel pain at inflamed epidydymis( as far as I understood from your description) then no need to worry,it might be because of local tissue reaction to the ingredients of cream. Take analgesics and short course of antibiotics ( cephalosporins group preferred) and you will be alright. Don't think of permanent damage as this is not a big deal and what you said about 'lesson learned',see its a very common thing to remove genital hairs nowadays,so no need to think like that. You will be alright. Thanks
