Can I Use Remicade For Degenerative Disc Disease?

is remicade a treatment for ddd - just heard @ this dx of a cousin's husband - so don't have a lot of hx but he would be about 60 years old. she said his mother had it and he is wheel chair bound and is seeing his dr intwo weeks and plans to ask for increase in meds (i am assuming pain med) I asked her if she knew @ remicade - she did not but was very interested.
