Can Implanon Pill Cause High Blood Pressure?

I'm 33 and I've been feeling a fit disoriented but not to the point of staggering for the past month. My blood pressure has been 140/100 consistently during this time period. I was put on a low dosage fluid pill. Could the Implanon birth control have an effect on my blood pressure? I've had it for the last 2 years and I've been wondering if I have water retention due to no cycles for 8 months.
