Can Inoflox And Duodart Have Adverse Effects On The Kidneys?
baams)sed on ultrasound report, my prostate gland measures 3.6 x 3.5 x 3.5cm (23.0 grams) showing normal echotexture. IMPRESSION: GRADE 1 PROSTATE ENLARGMENT. My TPSA examination result is 6.11. i was am taking the prescription INOFLOX 400 gms. and DUODART for 3 days now. i can feel pain both sides of stomach probably in my kidneys. i wonder what are the side effects of my medication or is this the result of my illness?
Like all medicines, Duodart can cause side effects for some patients. Common side effects include impotence (inability to achieve or maintain an erection), decrease in libido (sex drive), difficulty with ejaculation, breast swelling or tenderness, dizziness and difficulty in sleeping (insomnia).
Flank pain is not due to the drugs. Due to incomplete emptying of the bladder because of prostatic enlargement, there is back pressure on kidneys and may cause pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
