Can L-arginine Granules Help Increase The Volume Of Amniotic Fluid?

Hi, I am into 37th week of pregnancy and according to colour doppler report the amniotic fluid volume is less than normal, baby weight however being normal. Doctor has prescribed L-arginine granules twice a day. Will this help increase the volume of amiotic fluid? Further, i have noted that movements of baby has slowed down & i am really worried about it. Kindly let me know if its normal at this stage of pregnancy

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the liquor quantity will be decreased slowly after 36 weeks of pregnancy. But decreased movements is not a good sign.Usually fetal kick count should be maintained to know the wellbeing of fetus. It should be atleast 10 in a period of 12 hours. So observe the fetal movements and if less then consult doctor.LArginine is a amino acid which helps in increasing the liquor status and growth of fetus.Lying down in right or left lateral position helps in good blood supply to fetus.
