Can LVEF Be Increased With Medicines?

My father Om Parkash Babbar from Punjab AGE 62 ,MALE,SLIM.PTCA IN 2002.CABG IN 2008,now latest 2D echo report shows LVEF 18% which is very low than 2 years earlier ,it was 30% then. Now doctor has changed some medicine.can LVEF be increased with medicines? how critical is LVEF ratio? ECHO report as :LV is dilated with regional wall motionabnormality.MILD mitral regurgitation.Other cardiac valves are Structurally normal.LV apical clot.Pericardium is Normal. pls suggest.in anticipation.thanx in advance,warm regards,rajesh babbar.

Symptoms in your father case are suggestive of heart failure which means there is decreased pumping action of heart.so he should be given diuretics,dopamine,dobutamine.Regular monitoring of blood pressure is madate.consult cardiologist for expert mnagement.thankyou
