Can Lactulose Solution Be Safely Taken For Pregnancy Related Constipation?

I am 28 weeks pregnanct, and taking iron supplements as suggested by doctor,
age - 28
height - 5'2
weight - 64 Kg
As I am suffering from constipation, is lactulose solution "Looz" is safe to have during pregnancy daily one teaspoon at night before sleep.

Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your question.
Lactulose is definitely safe during pregnancy for constipation, but my advise to you to eat plenty of fruits, green leafy vegetables which can increase the fiber level, so enhancing the bowel movements to get relieved from constipation. Take isaphgool powder with milk of water before going to sleep also helps. Eat a banana daily before going to sleep also helps to relief constipation. Also do daily walking for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
So there are so many ways to get rid off constipation and hope it will help you. Best of luck for your pregnancy.
