yes Dr i am currently on Levetiracetam 750 mg i had a siezure back in nov.2015 and nothing since at all but this med is killing me with nervousness and being so ill tempered and short tempered and so on can i just stop taking it without any thing serious happening? i do go back to see my Dr at the end of July . I just cant take being so mean any more. Thank you so very much for your advice YYYY@YYYY
It should not be discontinued abruptly. As a general rule Levetiracetam should be discontinued gradually because of the risk of increased seizure frequency and status epilepticus if stopped abruptly.
However, since you seem to have developed some of the serious adverse effects abrupt discontinuation may be considered under the supervision.
