Can Levoquin Be Taken For Longer Time?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...A 22 years old hip prosthesis was repaired following a staph infection and " I am currently being teated with Levoquin, one tablet a day for the test of my life". The symptoms (drainage,muscle and joint pain) disappeared and the blood tests seem encouraging.
Questions: (1) is Levoquin the best choice and
(2) how long could I safely use this treatment instead of going for another hip replacement operation?
