Can Lichen Sclerosus (LS) Be Treated, Steroid Cream Offering Little Relief?

I have LS. It s very itchy. I use steroid cream twice a day, however, it s not getting better. What alternative methods I can use to stop itching. I also massage the area with coconut oil and wash regularly with plain water. Any suggestions. Thank you

Hi,

You have not told your age, sex and area affected with Lichen Sclerosus (LS). It can be taken care by high potency steroids which checks the further progression of the condition.

In my patients I start with high potency steroid application and then within time frame I shift to medium potency to lower potency steroid creams.

Do continue with your management as it is good approach and simultaneously meet a dermatologist who can guide you the proper use of steroid creams to treat the condition better.

All the best.
