Can Lisinopril Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

I have been taking Viagra and for the first time I was up then went down. I was just prescribed metformin. I was also taking Cholothordone for HBP and went back to Lisinopril. I think the Lisinopril it was hindered the erection and going back to the Cholothrodone.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Lisinopril is commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure. Its common side effects include dry cough, low blood pressure, high blood potassium levels and swelling of the lips, eyes or feed. It is not known to cause erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction could be due to chlorthalidone or by diabetes itself.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
