hi, I was in a sever mva and received many injuries, whiplash with a reversal of my neck spine, shortly after I noticed a change in my vision, blurred and constant floaters. I had an eye exam 2 months prior to the mva and no mention of cateracts, months after the mva I saw an eye specialist and he said I developed a cataracts, the other day I had surgery. could the mva caused my cataracts.
Hello. Welcome to HCM. Yes, your query is logical. And let me tell you that there is an entity called traumatic cataracts and vossious rings which can develop following a blunt trauma to the eye. You had been in an accident recently and so acute development of cataract is possible. I would suggest you to visit your eye surgeon and he/she can examine you and tell you further about your management.
Hope this was helpful. Regards
