Can Medrol Dosepak Be Taken Along With Methadone And Dilaudid?

I have a bulging disk in my spine and my doctor has prescribed a 6 day course of medrol dosepak (1 tab daily) to help shrink the bulge into the spine. I currently take methadone, dilaudid for pain (CRPS patient). Are there side effects of taking this drug that might affect me given my current health conditions?

Hi,

Medrol contains a steroid, it does not have any major interactions with the opioids and other drugs you are taking. So for the given time you can use it safely how ever we do not recommend its prolong use.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
