General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

For conception, a healthy genital system of both partners is essential.

You must have got it examined by an expert who prescribed the medicines you are asking about.

Meprate is a hormonal preparation, which acts to correct menstrual irregularities.

The drug avoids ovulation, which sets in spontaneously after the course of pills is over. So the rate of conception increases after stopping the 3-month course.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
