Can Metformin Cause Hot Feeling Inside The Body?

i am on lithium, stopped levothyroxine because my body keeps getting a hot feeling inside and am on metformin. Can the metformin do this?? My doctor wont do anything until 6 weeks she said for lab work. Been losing weight and on metformin for 8 months, Help
