Can Methotrexate Cause Tongue Soreness And Tingling?

I am on methotrexate for RA. I LOVE my wine on weekends at the end of a long work week. I fiind that after I have had a couple of glasses, my tongue starts to feel tingly and sore. Is this due to elevated liver enzymes or a side effect of the methotrexate?
