Can Midazolam And Promethazine Usage Post Colonoscopy Cause Nausea And Tremors In Body?

I recently had a colonoscopy. I was given the drugs Midazolam & Promethazine. Also Fentanyl Citrate. My Dr.told me over the phone that he had to give me twice as much as usual because I was very anxious. I also was given ondansetron for nausea. I had some side effects after the procedure. I slept all afternoon into the evening. I had chills & shaking. I was still going to the bathroom like before the procedure. my temp went down to 91.6 *F I was also had nausea & no appetite. He said if I ran a temperature and or had a lot of bleeding, that I should go to the ER. When I went for my appt. This past week, I didn t see my Dr. Because he was out of the country. The other Dr. didn t really know about the whole situation. I have never had this kind of reaction after a colonoscopy and I ve had a few. Because of my family history, I will need another one in 5 years. My question is whether this was caused by these medications? I don t want to go through this again. Not sure what to do about next colonoscopy. Thank you for your time. Debbie
