Can Mirvala-28 Be Taken In Place Of An Emergency Contraceptive?

I had unprotected sex today and thought I was safe because I bought plan b. After I swallowed the pills, I read that now, plan b is uneffective in women over 175 lbs. Pretty sure I weigh at least that much. I have birth control but hadn't started taking it yet. I have Mirvala 28's. They are Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol. Can I take these to try and prevent pregnancy? And what dosage? I am 40 years old and very healthy. I am on Cipralex antidepressants.

I really appreciate your concern, let me tell you that no contraceptive method is hundred per cent promising, looking to your age it is not advisable for you to have hormone medicine because after the age of 35 years, chances of pregnancy reduces to far extent, better try to come out of depression, hope this information helps, take care.
