Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain in case if you have sensitivity of teeth then it is a common thing after the teeth are prepared as the top hard layer is removed and there is sensitivity..
But in case if it is hardcore pain and not sensitivity then you should get an
x ray done because continuous pain after tooth preparation is not a normal thing and you should get an x ray of the offending teeth done and get checked for
nerve exposures.
Nerves are present in the centre of the teeth and in case if the nerves are exposed you should first get the
root canal treatment of the teeth done followed by antibiotics and painkillers and then veneers should be placed..
In case if there is pain but not nerve exposures, still you should get intentional root canal treatment done before you get veneers placed..
This is a correct treatment..
Now as about
Ibuprofen, taking ibuprofen can provide temporary relief but as the effect will wean off pain will again begin, so better get properly evaluated and get venners done only once the pain subsides..
Hope this information helps..
