Can Mucinex Be Taken For Productive Cough?

my question is this: I thought I had a sinus infection and went to the doctor and was prescribed prednisolone and amox-clav500 substituted for augmentin. I took all of the prednisolone and all of the augmentin except 5 pills. it was giving me diarrhea. I still have a cough and a rattle in my throat. I cough up mucus and blow out mucus all day. is it okay for me to take mucinex expectorant? I am presently taking atenolol for my blood pressure, levothyroxine for thyroid, timolol and travatan for glaucoma, D3 for calcium ,clonazepam for anxiety,vitamins b,c and calcium. thank you

Your suffering from sinusitis that cause some time post nasal drip and throat irritation and cough.

If your having cough better to avoid timmolol which again cause b1+b 2 block and bronchospasm. Again it cause cough, avoid atenelol also. Take alternative medicine like calcium channel brokers.

Sedative and anxiolytic cause cough suppression and so sputum won't come out better to avoid.

Use expectorent
Change antibiotics
Stream inhalation
Avoid cool drink cold water

Along with you can't use mucolytic like mucinac as a mucolytic.
