Can Mucolite Drops Be Given To A Baby For Treating Cough?

My baby has severe spells of cough in long intervals..she is 11 months old..can i give her mucolite drops n how much..i had taken her to a doc n he had given ele-m drops to b given at a dosage of 2.5ml for a day..i need advice as she has started coughing all of a sudden now n pretty bad...thanks..

I have gone through your query. It is better to use antihistamine or Bronchodilator syrups. Better to have an examination by pediatrician to rule out any serious problems.
