Can Musinex D And Allegra D Be Taken For Long Duration?

I have been taking musinex D for about 3 months now. My allergist put me on it when i had my last sinus infection. When i stop taking it, my ears start to bother me. Is it OK to be on Musinex D for months at a time? (I am also taking Allegra D daily.)
