Can NSAIDs Be Taken For Gout?

my uncle is in ICU now. He got sepsis, pneumonia, and gout (all joint swelling, red, and so painful as we can even touch),said his doctor. One drug given is morphine. My question is can docto give him nsaid for gout ? Doctor gives him breathing machine, levophed, amiodarone, fluids, gastric tube. He is sub-conscious, can open eyes when we ask him for,

NSAIDS can be taken for gout. But your uncle also taking other medicines particularly amiodarone . Which interect with NSAIDS and reduce effect of other drug.
