Can Namzaric, Verapamil And Namenda Be Taken Together?

My mother is currently on Namenda 28mg daily and they are starting her on Namzaric. My question is: they gave her a starter pack that starts her on Namenda 7mg and then titrates it to the 28mg. Is this necessary since she is already on 28mg? Also, she is on verapamil for rapid heart beats and has been for over 25 years. Is this combination of medications okay for her to take?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Namzaric or Namenda and not both.

Verapamil and Namenda has no significant interaction.

Namzaric contain Donepezil and Memantine. Their combined effect require titration.

Take care.
