Can Nasonex Nasal Spray Cause Hearing Loss?

Good morning, For some time now I have been very deaf in both ears. Consulted an ear specialists yesterday. I wear hearing aids and was perscribed Nasonex nasal spray. unfortunately they have made my existing hearing non existant. Can you offer any explanation for this and should I continue with the spray.

Hi,

Nasonex contains mometasone which is a steroid. Steroids reduce inflammation. Steroid nasal spray is less likely to cause hearing loss. Any fluid collection in the ear or infections can cause fullness in ears and thereby hearing loss. These causes should be ruled out. Rule out any raised blood sugar levels.
