Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr. Rynne, My name is Taylor and I was interested in knowing if you are familiar with the birth control Nor-QD. I have heard it can help with those suffering from endometriosis, which I have. I am currently on Lo L-estrin Fe and have been instructed over the last 6 months to take all active pills, skipping the week off, in hopes my periods would stop all together. This has not happened. In fact, they are worse.
Nor Qd is having norethisterone. It is an active female reproductive hormone. It is from estrogen group of hormones. Since you are already taking one hormone pill and not improving, better not to take Nor Qd without hormone levels. The possibility of hormonal imbalance is more likely in your case.
So get done detailed hormone levels and start appropriate hormonal pills according to your hormonal imbalance. So consult gynecologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
Pulmonologist
