General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The loose motions starting after 2 days of antibiotic Clavidur.. could be a side effect of the drug.

Please stop the antibiotics. Continue with ORS & other drugs ..the side effect diarrhea would be controlled in a couple of days.

Please be on guard for signs of dehydration (dryness of mouth, wrinkled skin, dry eyes, weakness) while you wait.

In case the fever reverts back, diarrhea increases or signs of dehydration occur... take the baby to ER for IV fluids & needful antibiotic as per need.

Normet can be given in infective diarrhea. In secondary diarrhea as a side effect.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
