Hi,

PCOD is complex disease and cause hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction, insulin resistance and weight gain. Your irregular period is due to hormonal imbalance. I would suggest to undergo reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study for better management. You should take proper treatment under advise of gynecologist.

Novelon is birth control pill and correct hormone imbalance, so it corrects menstrual irregularity. You can also ask for progesterone pill in second half pf period, Metformin to treat problem associated with PCOD. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, avoid excessive sweets. Do regular exercise and maintain weight according to BMI.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
