Can NyQuil Be Taken For Cold, Sore Throat And Pain Relief?
I currently am fighting a minor cold currently I have a simple soar throat I am also currently prescribed Alprazolam 1mg my question is if it is safe for me to take a dose of Nyquil (generic CVS brand) to help sooth the pain and get a good night rest?

There are is one known possible interaction between nyquil and alprazolam.
Nyquil contains dextromethorphan, acetaminophen and doxylamine.
Alprazolam can possible interact with the doxylamine (an antihistamine) to cause increased drowsiness and dizziness.
This effect may or may not occur.
