Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am being treated for arthritis pain in all my joints. Throughout the years (7) I have tried different pain medication. ( Tylenol 3 / codeine , Voltaren Cream, Sulentex, Celexbrex, (after 3 yrs I was taking off for the fear of the side effects ) My question is ,is it safe to take Oxycodone 10 milligrams every 6 hours ,along with Voltaren cream(4grm/ 4 times daily) applied only to my knees. I was just taken off of Oxycodone-Acetaminophen 10 - 325 every 6 hours , and placed on Oxycodone 10 HCL every 6 hours. Is it safe to add the cream with the oxycodone 10 HCL in between doses?
Hi, I would like to state that there are no major/minor interactions listed with combinational use of oxycodone and Voltaren (Diclofenac) cream. Many of my patients use the above combination without any untoward effects. You can use the above combination as directed by your pain specialist. I hope the above information solves your query. Thanks for writing into healthcare magic. Have a nice day.
