Can Pituitrophin PMG Help In Treating Hot Flashes?

yes.....I have been on 60 milligrams of paroxitine ....and have been withdrawing myself. about 6 weeks ago, I took my dose down to 30 milligrams and then later off a week later. I was in the process of relocating and securing my medication seemed much harder than just getting off it. For the past 4 weeks, I have had some symptoms but my body is like a furnace now....I ve had some dizziness but, not extreme nor any headaches that have been associated on previous try s. I am constantly sweating.....while different parts of my body are experiencing goose bumps. I am going through meno pause......but, nothing has ever been this extreme...literally I could take three showers a day to cool by body down. One time 10 or so years ago, I was experiencing hot flashes and my naturopath put me on Pituatrophin for three months and my symptoms cleared up. Is this a possibility of working again or is this something entirely different.?

Hi,

Paroxetine and Pituitrophin are two entirely different drugs. Paroxetine is an anti-depressive drug, therefore it may become a bit harder to get off this drug. Pituitrophin results in good pituitary functions, as during menopause, pituitary starts to produce diminished FSH hormone, which causes symptoms of post menopausal syndrome. It may be possible that these symptoms may not come again as time passes, these may go away on their own. Also, sometimes a long-term treatment with Pituitrophin may be required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
