Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, the last day of my normal period I had unprotected sex, first time ever having sex. My boyfriend pulled out before discharging. Taking precaution we grabbed the plan b pill exactly 2 hours after and I took it. I bled after sex of course because my boyfriend broke my Hymen. A bled for about 4 days and then stopped. A week later exactly after having unprotected sex I started to bleed again very light brownish/pink. Could this be a side affect of plan b or implantation bleeding?
Hello, I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Plan B One-Step can some unexpected bleeding. So, the bleeding is probably a side effect of Plan B. It should go away by the time of your next period. However, it is possible that Plan B One-Step may cause your next period to be heavier or lighter than usual. It may also come earlier or later than is normal for you.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards! Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi General &Family Physician
