Can Primolut N Be Taken To Stop Vaginal Bleeding Before A Hysterectomy?

hi , going to have a hystertomy done by sunday i.e. 3 days from now , having heavy blood flow these days which is droping my hemoglobin doctor has advised me inj. cyklokapron (tranxemic acid) and ferotin (iron)
but the bleeding is not stopping
can i take primolut to stop prior to surgery
please help me in this regard

Hi,

Primolut does not actually help to prevent bleeding.

You can take drugs like Ethamsylate or Tranexamic Acid to control bleeding.

If you are experiencing profuse bleeding even after taking meds, you have to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. In severe cases, you might require intravenous drugs.
