Can Ramipril cause extreme fatigue. My mother has been taking it for years and is always complaining of feeling so tired. All her doctors tell her is she s depressed. She started taking it at night and still feels real tired. This has been going on for years. This tiredness affects her thinking. She is 85 years old.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This is not a known side effect of this medication though persons react differently to medication.

Depression is associated with fatigue but there are different criteria that need to be met for this diagnosis to be made. If she does not have the other criteria then she cannot be considered depressed

Blood tests to rule out other causes such as anemia or thyroid disease, may also be needed

I hope this helps
