Can Reactine Be Taken For Seasonal Allergies?

Hi Is it safe to take Reactine for my seasonal allergies (hayfever) if my blood pressure is 140/90-95? My doctor has not prescribed pills for my blood pressure yet. He is waiting to see if there is any improvement in November when I see him again. Thanks for the help. Mike

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have problem of seasonal allergy due to hay fever . Well the medicine reactine contain cetirizine , Cetirizine belongs to the class of medications called second-generation antihistamines, specifically the class known as histamine receptor antagonists . it is used for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergies including sneezing; itchy nose and throat , stuffy and runny nose and tearing, red, or itchy eyes.There are certain conditions when your should no take this medicine like severe high blood pressure (hypertension) . In your casr although the blood pressure is not severe , but still your should consult doctor before taking this medicine . For now drink green teat with honey and ginger in it thrice a day , keep yourself hydrate and take proper rest ..
