Can Regestrone Prescribed For Regulating Periods Be Also Used As A Contraceptive?

I have been taking registeron/ norlut-n for the past 3 months for 3 days a month to regulate my periods. Does this also server as a contraceptive? Can I take both contraceptive and regestrone or only one of them. We did not have an intercourse but fear fluid contact with hands.... Please answer.urgent. (molestation case) I request you to not put in on the website as this question is for someone else. And she is not comfortable with making it public.

Norlut-N contains Norethindrone. This medication is used primarily to treat women with abnormal bleeding from the uterus.
Norethindrone is a type of female hormone (progestin). This medication works by stopping the normal growth of the uterus lining during the menstrual cycle and signaling hormone changes in the uterus to restore normal menstrual periods. It is also an oral contraceptive. It is used to prevent pregnancy as progestin only pill.
