Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Would you recommend resotran for long term constipation associated with an SCI. Also have gastroparesis but over past year have suffered frequent episodes of AD due to my very lazy colon which was found to be longer in a recent colonoscopy and than one done a few years ago. Since my BP gets quite high during these episodes I have been prescribed losartan, proxasin to use to bring my pressure to normal. I take a cocktail of cymbalta, metadol, and lyrica for my neurogenic pain. Thanks
Resotran is an enterokinetic agent which means it increases the movements of gastrointestinal system thereby causing fast expulsion of intestinal contents.

Can Resotran Be Used For Constipation?
Hi Resotran is an enterokinetic agent which means it increases the movements of gastrointestinal system thereby causing fast expulsion of intestinal contents. This drug should only be used as a last option after trying all the laxatives and should not be used in intestinal obstruction disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and kidney disorders requiring dialysis. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
