Can STD Be Contracted By Using A Used Needle Holder And Vacutainer Tube?

Dear Sir, Namaste, Around four days ago , I went to a blood test at Dr.Lal path labs. during the blood withdraw , I checked the Needle and Vacutainer tube, Both were fresh and okay and sealed properly. But the Holder which hold the needle and vacutainer had the visible blood spot inside. I ask the lab man to change it , but he said there is no worry in this as it does not go inside. Later i enquired at lab they said it is re useable. But Now i am very much frighten and living in fear of blood borne disease specialy. Please help in this and suggest..

Hello

No reason for worry here. The blood in the container could not possibly have gotten into the vial or into the fresh needle.

You cannot contract anything like HIV or hepatitis in this manner.
