Can Salicyclic Acid With Glycolid Cause Any Problem?

Hi, how can I prep my skin for the application of an 8% glycolic acid daily treatment (in the form of a moisturizer) so that it will work most effectively. If i apply a toner with salicylic acid before the application of glycolic acid, with the effects of the glycolic acid still be the same or will the toner with salicylic acid inhibit the glycolid acid from working properly? Thanks!
