Can Sprintec Help In Dealing With Stopped Periods?

I've been taking Lo-estrin for almost 2.5 years and haven't had a period since I began this pill. My OBGYN didn't seem concerned until recently when I became sexually active. He has since switched me to Sprintec. After the switch should I expect my period within the first month ? If I do not have my period should I be concerned?
