Can Telmisartan, Norco And Wobenzym Be Taken Together?

Can I take Telmirsatan and Wobe-enzyme together plus Norco 10 mg....I had a Knee Replacement....a too large prosthesis taken out and right one in???? Since I am allergic against Ibuprofen or any Anti inflammatory ( I get breathing problems and swell up) ....I thought maybe Wobe- Enzyme will help the inflammation in my knee which is still very much swollen 8 weeks after the operation. I took enzymes before for boosting my immune power and it went well with me....again, is there an interaction between Telmirsatan and or Norco?

Hi & Welcome.

Avoid taking Norco along with Telmisartan.

Norco (Acetaminophen / Hydrocodone) is a narcotic analgesic combination used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain like back pain, painful joints due to arthritis, and other such conditions.

When taken together Telmisartan and Hydrocodone may have additive effects in lowering your BP. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption.

Consult your treating doctor for an alternate effective medication for your painful swollen knee joint like Acetaminophen alone or Diclofenac which are unlikely to cause breathing problems.

Wobenzym, a combination of proteolytic enzymes and the antioxidant rutin which works by modulating the immune response by restoring a healthy balance between anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory cytokines can be taken for the symptomatic relief of pain along with the medications suggested earlier.

Hope this answers your query.
