Can Thyronorm Dosage Be Increased Without Doctor S Advice?

Hi Dr. i am under the prescription of Thyronorm 125mcg. Recently my TSH has increased & could not be controlled with the same dosage, hence i increased the same to 150mcg. Is there any side effect if i increase the dosage without the doctor s advice?

Hi, I think you should consult your doctor before increasing or decreasing the thyroid dose, because excess dose will lead to a marked decrease in TSH levels. Consult your doctor.
