Can Thyroxine Cause Acid Reflux In A Person As It Occurred To Me Since I Was Changed With The Dosage?
My doctor increased my thyroxine from 75 micrograms to 100 micrograms per day. Very shortly after this I have got acid reflux/heartburn I am female and 68 years old. I have had heart burn before but not for a long time. The doctor has prescribed omeprazole but I have read that thyroxine can cause acid reflux. Is this the case?

the cause may be thyroxin, but you need to take thyroxin regularly without missing the dose.
I will advise you to avoid spicy food, chocolates, coffee etc., and sleep two hours after taking food.
