Can Tramadol, Effexor, Mucinex And Ativan Be Taken Together?

I am 71 yr old female. I had surgery (right shoulder replacement) Jan 10. After surgery pain meds for about 10 days I took Tramadol for a few weeks. I have been taking Efexor for hot flashes for about 18 years. While recovering I got a sinus infection. To stop the coughing I took a mucinex tablet (first time). I proceeded to be nauseated for the next 36 hrs. That night I felt like I fell into a deep desperate hole - couldn t sleep, crying, horrible dreams, confused, couldn t remember, didn t want husband out of my sight, didn t want to leave house, horrible negative thought process constantly for several days. I thought I had fallen into a dark depression & couldn t see my way out. On day 4 of this went to walk-in & he gave me Ativan for anxiety. It helped me finally sleep and the horrible nightmares went away. I still had to work at it for a couple of weeks to pull myself out of the hole. What I m wondering is if this could have been a drug reaction?
