Can Tramadol And Acetaminophen Be Taken After Recovering From Meningitis?

I had 4 hours of dental work on Tuesday. crowns removed and decay grind-ed away. The dentist stopped and told me I had to have 2 root canals in the two teeth being worked on. Went home and 3 hours later called back, the anesthesia had worn off. I took Ibprophen 800 Mg. twice with no results. Prescribed at that time 5/325 hydrocodone- acetaminaphen. Took one no relief.. took two in the next period of 4 hours. Finally pain free. Went to a endodoic (rootcanal) doc. He told me to continue the prescribed meds and add antibiotic. When I ran out of the hydo-ace. He then prescribed; tramadol -acetaminophn 37.5-325. Finally my question is.... The medicine should not be taken with a person who has had meningitis. I had this last year with an other episode 10 days ago. Need answers. reply to YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

As per my clinical experience, at a period of 1 year post meningitis recovery, there is no contraindication of consuming Tramadol or Acetaminophen. You can take it very safely under medical supervision.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
