Can Tylenol Be Taken While Suffering From A Stomach Infection?

I just got over a stomach virus. Ive been eating soft foods and im no longer in pain nor vomitting. Overall i feel better. Hiwever its only been a day and i have to take antibiotics and tylenol 3 for pain and infection for 10 days. Will the tylenol 3 mess up my stomach ? I took the antibiotics and my stomach did that fine. Help asap. In a lot of pain.

Hi,

Tylenol is the trade name for the medication Acetaminophen. This does not typically affect the stomach. It works best on an empty stomach. Pain medications such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen or Cataflam or Voltaren would normally have an effect on the stomach.

These are the medications that can cause gastritis-inflammation of the stomach.
