Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing on and off dull aches/twinges in my ovaries for about 2 weeks. My physician did a pelvic exam and a urine analysis. The pelvic exam didn t seem to turn up anything abnormal, but the urine analysis indicated a UTI. After this finding, my physician concluded that the inexplicable pelvic twinges were probably due to the infection... I m not a doctor but this does not make much sense, and unfortunately my physician is not very caring or experienced. Should I request an ultrasound?
Hi.. Thanks for the query.. Are you having any menstrual abnormalities? There can be mild discomfort in the abdomen with UTI but you will have urination problems like burning sensation, frequent urination etc., You can get an ultrasound pelvis done to know if there is any problem.. Try to have regular diet and do moderate exercise to be healthy.. Hope this information helps..Take care..
