Can Utovlan Cause Irregular Periods?

hi my daugher is 14 years old was given utovlan to delay her period while she was away itsbeen 5 days since she stopped taking them and she still has not come on yet,she has hadvery bad pains.her gp said shewouldstart with in 3 days of stopping them.
